I’ve noticed some weird discrepancies when using the Usernames Only plugin between single WP and multisite as of late… something screwy is going on. Definitely worth looking into.

This is currently listed as “Duplicate activity stream items” on the writeboard.

However, I’m still not able to duplicate this. I’ll try this on a fresh install of single WP in a few hours.

I’m currently using a multisite install on WP 3.0.

Yes I have the BP Follow plugin active and it’s working for me…

Thanks for the extra info. Still can’t duplicate it though.

I’ll sift through any plugins or code snippets I might be using on top and see if I can duplicate it.

Sounds more like a browser problem than a plugin. Am wondering what plugin it was though?

The version number is at 0.57.
Plugin checks are done every 12 hours (I believe).

You can always do a manual overwrite.

You have to activate your account via email by default!

It appears that you’re using the BP Disable Activation plugin or some other plugin that does something similar.
Can you confirm?

That’s your call. As I have mentioned in another thread, there is value to the “Name” field, so I won’t be providing this functionality in this plugin.

As for a Trac ticket, here’s the one you’re looking for.

Most definitely sounds like a plugin is interferring somewhere.
Are you sure you’ve disabled every single plugin? Or it could be custom code you have in your theme’s functions.php.
