Have you double checked that you’re linking to the correct file path for wp-blog-header.php?

You need to attach a screen function to your admin page.
Check out the skeleton component plugin for more details:

Currently this feature doesn’t ship with the default theme. Hopefully it gets added in the next version of BP.

WPMU is only needed if you want individual user blogs à la wordpress.com.
If you don’t need this functionality, get standard WP.

r-a-y posted on the forum topic BBpress setup through buddypress plugin? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 8 months ago
By default, BP group forums can be accessed at: hxxp://example.com/forums/ If your external bbPress is also installed in /forums/, you’ll want to rename BP’s forums slug to something else. You can do this by adding the following in your wp-config.php or bp-custom.php: define( ‘BP_FORUMS_SLUG’, ‘group-forums’ ); In the example above, your BP for…[Read more]

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Downloading and installing BuddyPress in the group Installing BuddyPress: 15 years, 8 months ago
@bhalun – BuddyPress doesn’t use an .exe file. If you used the manual download, simply extract the “buddypress” folder from the .ZIP file to your web server’s /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
Then login to the WP backend and click on “Plugins”, BuddyPress should show up. Simply click on “Activate”.

Does the groups mean users, or disscusions? It’s the whole Twitter / Facebook hybrid. Trying to emulate too many features from popular, existing social networks. The main UI problem is groups. BP tried to copy how Facebook setup forums. But then, in v1.2, BP added Twitter-like activity streams. For groups, you can either go one way – embrace the activity stream or […]

will that bring my topics over when i go to import it through buddypress? No it won’t. The integration guide above has nothing to do with BuddyPress. It allows you to integrate WordPress with an external install of bbPress (users, single sign-on). If you want to integrate your external bbPress install with BuddyPress. Login to the […]

Hello, I’m having a problem when users sign-up. Pre-membership requires a password. However, they get a generated password that is not the password that they used during the sign-up field while registering. Why is that and how can I make it less confusing?
Thanks,
Daniel
