What does your full function look like?

You’re using the wrong action.

I think you should be looking at the “login_redirect” action.

Also you probably don’t want to redirect to the profile edit page on every single login, so a check should be made to see if (x) profile field is filled in, if it’s not, then continue with the login redirect.

I haven’t read the whole thread, but there are a bunch of users in that thread with the same problem.

I’d recommend posting in the bbPress thread I mentioned above. Maybe read through everything once more to ensure you’re using the right script.

Are you sure you enabled registrations? If you did enable it, you should see a “Sign up” button right next to “Login” in the BuddyBar.

The snippet only works on WPMU.

If you’re using standard WP, replace is_site_admin() with if(current_user_can(‘manage_options’)) (thanks Brajesh).

Also, you could try adding the function in your theme’s functions.php (omit the add_action line).

I’ve noticed this problem as well, unfortunately it’s a bbPress issue.
So unless bbPress is patched, this problem will persist.

A workaround is naming your topic title slightly differently.
