It’s the activity stream loop you’re after.

WP does generate a virtual robots.txt file, but I’m not sure if you can count BP in the mix as I’m not quite sure if BP does anything to it.
Try using this plugin to manage WP’s virtual robots.txt:

@jcandothers – there is already a ticket about this:

Ahh okay, you got me! @3sixty!
Nice find again! The activity permalinks for forum posts are indeed truncated, me thinks this could be a case of limiting hacking attempts via long URLs.

r-a-y posted on the forum topic BuddyPress Bar on external pages in the group Third Party Components & Plugins: 15 years, 9 months ago
Actually, now that I think about it, I think I implemented something for a BP subdomain site awhile ago. It wasn’t the BuddyBar, but it was for a nav menu that had to be duplicated across all blogs. However, the same technique should work. It requires using an iframe and some javascript to set the […]

r-a-y posted on the forum topic bbpress deep integration in the group Installing BuddyPress: 15 years, 9 months ago
Okay, that is possible, but you’ll have to theme your external bbPress install to match BuddyPress.
@arturo84 has created a bbPress theme that matches the default BP theme – https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/buddypress-default-theme-for-bbpress-1 – so you might want to check that out.

@firetag – so you want to use BuddyPress’ built-in version of bbPress or do you want to install your own, external version of bbPress?

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Unable to create groups or forums in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 9 months ago
@dains – if your WPMU installation is installed under “groups”, there will be a conflict with BuddyPress. Either try installing WPMU under the root or re-define the BP Groups slug. Put this in your wp-config.php:
define ( 'BP_GROUPS_SLUG', 'gatherings' );Change “gatherings” to whatever you want your groups to be called. @cpmrgmt – try this: […] -
r-a-y posted on the forum topic Modifying the Admin bar when using WPtouch 1.9.9.8 Plugin in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 9 months ago
WPTouch is a plugin, but it includes mobile themes, @modemlooper.
I just tried adding some of the BP templates like /activity/ etc. in the WP Touch theme, and it works.
Obviously, it needs some cleaning up to make it look pretty on mobiles! But try it yourself. -

@nightlygigs – I’m probably not going to be working on this right away. I’d check out @modemlooper ‘s BuddiPhone theme – which is close to production status.
Check out the following group dedicated to iPhone BP themes:

Yeah, that’s because activity permalinks are failing right now.
Andy is probably aware of this.

thanks @r-a-y, they are working for forum posts so just thought I’d post. Bugs being fixed fast enough on the new site so I guess they will be working soon.

It’s because the WPTouch theme doesn’t add the styles from the default BP theme.
I’m looking at *perhaps* creating an add-on template pack for WPTouch. Will see.
