The advice I gave above for you is not going to work then.
Wait for someone who is more familiar with WPMU and multi-sites to answer your question or you can do what I mentioned to marcoslavorato and bug andrea_r
Change the remove_filter line in Jeff’s code to:
remove_filter( 'bp_get_the_profile_field_value', 'xprofile_filter_link_profile_data', 50, 2 );In reply to: How to get rid of autolinking on profile fieldsPlease refrain from bumping similar threads.

In reply to: where are my forum favorites? In reply to: Create a Site ForumThe permissions are okay to me.
What about if you manually go to mysite.com/forums/index.php or mysite.com/forums/install.php?
Also you should try posting on the bbPress.org forums:
In reply to: Create a Site ForumbbPress is not a WP plugin yet, so that wouldn’t work.
Just to be clear in your “mysite.com/forums/” directory, do you see a bunch of files in there like bb-config-sample.php, bb-post.php, etc.
In reply to: Create a Site ForumIf it’s on the same level as the /wp-content/ folder, you’re in the right location.
In reply to: ‘wp’ action not firing on all pages?Hmm… interesting.
Not sure if this will do anything, but have you tried fiddling with the priority of the ‘wp’ action for your function?
If this doesn’t work, best to note it on Trac so Andy et. al are aware of it.
In reply to: Create a Site ForumGroups can be left enabled.
No idea why you can’t access the folder.
Silly question, are you sure you uploaded the contents of the bbPress .zip package to the /forums/ directory.
In reply to: Create a Site ForumWell if you don’t want to use BP forums, disable the forums component.. login to the WP admin area, navigate to “BuddyPress > Component setup” and disable the forums component.
Then go back to your bbPress URL to start the install.
In reply to: Register from subdomainThis isn’t related to marcoslavorato’s problem.
Your issue can be resolved by defining the BP_ROOT_BLOG.
Read this:
https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/
Main blog would be mydomain.com
Secondary blog with BP enabled would be xyz.mydomain.com.
This would work only if you plan on having one community and not multiple communities.
In reply to: Create a Site ForumDid you add the line in wp-config.php to define the BP_FORUMS_SLUG?
Did you actually upload bbPress to mysite.com/forums?
Create a child theme of the BP default theme and make your changes there.
Here’s a guide:
https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
In reply to: Register from subdomainYou’d need to configure BP for multi-blog support:
https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/changing-internal-configuration-settings/
This is where I have a knowledge deficit.
I’ve never had to deploy a WPMU multi-site setup.
Perhaps you can contact andrea_r (https://buddypress.org/developers/andrea_r) as she’s well-versed with WPMU and multi-sites and how it works with BP.
In reply to: group default avatarCode is updated once again… this should be the last update!
In reply to: Register from subdomainYou want separate members for each blog?
Is that the reason why you would want a separate registration page?
In reply to: group default avatarCode updated again.
In reply to: Register from subdomainYou should be linking your register page to the blog where BP is installed.
eg. mydomain.com/register (i’m assuming mydomain.com is the blog where BP is installed)
You can use bp_get_signup_page() to grab the registration URL.
In reply to: Adding validation in registration form?Try this:
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/which-file-do-i-need-to-edit-registration-questions#post-45514
Or you can use an invite plugin – the invite code would be the answer and you manually need to add the question yourself.
In reply to: sign up option not displayingIt helps to read the FAQ!

The other issue is not related to this one.
With the above code snippet, your BP pages should actually go to mysite.com/BPpage.
If you did not use the code snippet above, your BP pages would reside at mysite.com/wordpress/BPpage.
So if BP wasn’t running correctly before the snippet, there’s something larger going on.
I think you should double-check these instructions again:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
Kind of hard to debug without seeing your site and theme code.
Did your homepage link previously direct to mysite.com?
Also, before adding the above code snippet, what happened when you went directly to mysite.com/wordpress?
In reply to: How to uninstall buddypressLooks like you’ll need to contact your web host to increase your memory limit.
In reply to: Changing Buddypress back to root blogHave you checked your error log to see what is causing the white screen of death?
Change your theme on blog 83 to something else, deactivate any BP-related plugins on blog 83.
Deactivate BP entirely. Delete the BP_ROOT_BLOG line in wp-config.php, activate BP sitewide, activate a BP theme on blog ID 1.
What happens?
In reply to: Register.php broken; users can’t registerSilly question… you filled out all the fields on the register page correctly?
