Please post this as an enhancement ticket on Trac:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/newticketIn reply to: Activity Post vs Forum Topics, advice? This was an idea that I was comtemplating building a long time ago — using the activity stream as a forum.
Hard part would be sorting an activity post and its comments in a linear fashion (or flat mode) since activity comments are nested. If you like threaded comments, then you’re already set!

The pros and cons of using the activity stream vs. forum have been highly discussed. You probably already know them!
If you want to focus on the forum in groups, then minimize the impact of the activity stream in groups. One way of doing this is by removing the activity post form so that all activity will have to run through the forum.
In reply to: How to add a Title for Activity Post?On the backend, you’d need to experiment with adding some activity meta.
In BP 1.5, all the activity meta functions are available in bp-activity/bp-activity-functions.php:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5/bp-activity/bp-activity-functions.php#L438On the frontend, you’ll need to add an input field to the post form and then grabbing the form data so you can save it as activity meta. Check out /bp-default/activity/post-form.php for the actual form.
Saving the title might be a little tricky with AJAX though.
To add back the delete button in the activity stream, you need to add the following in your /activity/entry.php template:
“BP doesn’t allow you to edit an activity stream item by default. I assume you’re using a plugin.
In reply to: Settings MenuIf you’re on BP 1.5 and you’re using an older theme, read this:
https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-developer-and-designer-information/#themeIn reply to: Buddy Press header removalAre you trying to change the height of the header image background or the header in general?
If you are trying the change the height of the header only, first create a child theme.
Then in your child theme’s style.css, add the following:
`#header {height:300px;}`

If you are using BuddyPress 1.2.x and are dependent on a lot of BP plugins, you might want to wait until your BP plugins are updated.
If you want to test BuddyPress 1.5, you should do all your upgrading and testing on a development environment. After you have upgraded and you’ve made sure that your site functions bug-free and the way you want it, you can do the upgrade on your live site.

In reply to: missplaced text on BuddyPress homepageIt’s just a CSS bug on the bp.org homepage for IE8 users. Don’t worry! Nothing important is missing!

In reply to: Removing Powered by W and BCreate a child theme of the BuddyPress Default theme.
Then, copy over /plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/footer.php to your new child theme, open up footer.php, then read this:

In reply to: [Resolved] Make all members activeThis post explains everything:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/activating-existing-users/#post-40221You’ll need to write a script that gives everyone a “last_activity” timestamp.
Some example code to get it working for one user:
`
// change $user_id to the ID you want to become active
update_user_meta( $user_id, ‘last_activity’, bp_core_current_time() );`In reply to: editing adminbarThe WordPress Admin Bar (not BuddyBar) is a different bar entirely.
Try finding something on the WordPress forums:
https://wordpress.org/supportCan also try this plugin:
