In reply to: Dynamic Profile Links in Menu Solution
Try this : https://bpdevel.wordpress.com/2016/08/05/nouveau-a-bp-template-pack-story/
I am also building a plugin for this, which would be available within few days.In reply to: Adding a tab to profilesBuddyPress themes are basically WordPress themes. Technically all themes “should” be compatible with BuddyPress.
If you’re looking more into template overriding then check the documentation link above.Try this : https://themeforest.net/item/kleo-pro-community-focused-multipurpose-buddypress-theme/6776630, https://themeforest.net/item/wplms-learning-management-system/6780226 , https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress/buddypress
Regarding your question :
Check existing topics in this forums, this has been answered several times.In reply to: Extended profile field’s value meta_key would be?Its a different table altogether, it is not a meta_key in the usermeta table.
In reply to: Courseware – Online course on BPTry WPLMS it is an LMS on BuddyPress : http://themeforest.net/item/wplms-learning-management-system/6780226
In reply to: Missing Add Friend ButtonI also have the WPLMS theme, there is switch in the theme which enables this.
The switch is located in WP Admin – WPLMS – BuddyPress – Member meta infoIn reply to: 2.5 HTML email styling not workingYou can also integrate Gmail for sending Emails using the WP SMTP plugin : http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-send-email-in-wordpress-using-the-gmail-smtp-server/
For the WPLMS theme, the developers are working on migrating their course related emails to Buddypress.
In reply to: Users Sell ItemsI am also using the WPLMS theme, based on the information I have they’re already working on similar module integrating with this plugin :http://codecanyon.net/item/booked-appointment-booking-for-wordpress/9466968?s_rank=1
In reply to: 404 on profile for bodypress on my site404 issues usually arise because of permalinks.
Most likely it is a permalinks issue.
You can save/resave the permalinks in WP admin panel.In reply to: I can’t update profile avatarSince you’re able to upload avatar images but not able to change them, I am guessing it is an image name issue.
When you upload an image as an avatar, make sure the “length” of the image name is not more than 32 characters.
I haven’t been able to dig in why this happens but it is an observation, rename the image and try uploading it again.In reply to: Pagination no-ajax bugFor now, I have implemented this fix :
add_filter('bp_get_messages_pagination','correct_buddypress_pagination'); add_filter('bp_get_members_pagination_links','correct_buddypress_pagination'); add_filter('bp_course_get_item_pagination','correct_buddypress_pagination'); function correct_buddypress_pagination($pagination){ global $items_template; if($_GET['items_page'] || $_GET['mlpage'] || $_GET['mpage']){ preg_match_all('/.+(mlpage|items_page|mpage).([1-9]+).+([1-9]+).+/',$pagination, $matches); if(isset($matches[2]) && isset($matches[3])){ if(is_array($matches[2]) && count($matches[2])){ foreach($matches[2] as $k=>$match){ if($match != $matches[3][$k]){ $search =$matches[1][$k]."=".$match."'>".$matches[3][$k]; $replace=$matches[1][$k]."=".$matches[3][$k]."'>".$matches[3][$k]; $pagination = str_replace($search,$replace,$pagination); } } } } } return $pagination; }I guess it should not have any impact when BuddyPress 2.2 update is released.
In reply to: Removing Blog Posts form the SWA WidgetI know this is a 4 year old thread, but the code fix still works. The only problem is that it does not reset the pagination. I get blank pages in pagination while doing this.
In reply to: How to find Page ID for default buddypress pagesTo those who come here searching for this. All the standard Activity, Groups, Members etc pages are stored in WP options table bp-pages.
So, simply get the option: $page_array=get_option(‘bp-pages’);
$page_array[‘activity] gives you to pageid for the Activity and so on…In reply to: getting array of all groupsuse this:
$vgroups = $groups = BP_Groups_Group::get(array( 'type'=>'alphabetical', 'per_page'=>999 )); print_r($vgroups);Never mind, I found an alternate route.. A custom function which takes the url and assigns values to the global variables. Hook it to bp_setup_global action.
More…
I found that the function responsible for setting up globals is bp_core_set_uri_globals, the strange thing is that it defines globals based on the URI values.
The url of my custom component is like
abc.com/component/single-slug
But still BP is unable assign global variables correctly…
How can I force BP to setup the global vars..
In reply to: 'Notifications' Tab appeared in profile?My expectation was that since notifications section has been added I should be able to locate a notifications.php file in members->single templates, which is unfortunately not present in the bp default theme. Since the file is not present the fallback is plugins.php which is shown in the notifications section.
The above code exactly does what buddypress is already doing so it does not make any difference.If your theme has the members folder, then Notifications view is missing … is there any template we can refer to .. if not bp-default..
