Though I put the lines into bp-custom.php, the situation remains the same.
Perhaps, the provided solution might be for those who see “Array” on members’ profile pages. I have not found where “echo $profileTagClean;” is written, though…

I agree with @rogercoathup on the lack for media, and re-inventing the wheel. But it appears there is still need for further expansion in the media, maybe a wanna have or desire in the next release 😉

Documentation seems indicate that this is a recommend practice. Though, Im always fearful in making changes like these..

As @rogercoathup suggested, you should open up header.php in your child theme, find the code that creates the Activity tab, and delete it.
