  • hi really great work! here my feedback: – upload of additional documents should be possible, so that all group documents can be organized at one point (jpg, pdf, xls, …) – comments and rating for documents (even if not inline editable) would be great too. – defining parents is already really nice, what about folder […]

yeah really nice – superlicous! i do miss only one really major thing: what about upload of other files like ppt, jpg, etc. even if not editable with inline editor it would be great too have all documents together…

  • hi it would be great to have mor possibilities to add aditional cotent to the user profile, such as additional pictures.
For example if you run a motocycle community users would like to add pictures of their bikes or something…. 😉

wow! sounds really great something i really looked for 🙂 https://buddypress.org/community/groups/requests-feedback/forum/topic/advanced-group-groupware-functionality/

why is it not fully compatible with bp standard theme?

    • It is not compatible with the default theme because when running the default theme normal group descriptions are not covered by the front page. The front page to be the only thing visible relating to the group when eight is up. On all themes that or child themes of the default theme it works correctly because there is a file that controls what…[Read more]

    addition:

a open (documented) interface (api) to get the saved places would be awesome. So other plugins could use the stored places – for example JE Event System in their adress tab…

    • Most of what you have mentioned is already listed in the ROADMAP – http://gpress.my/roadmap/ – and some basic documentation has also been added to our site – http://gpress.my/documentation/ – would love for there to be more detailed documentation with proper examples, but am going to need the help of the community for that, so feel free to…[Read more]

    • In regards to events, it just so happens that the company I work for is also in the process of developing a pretty advanced event management plugin which will also have gPress integrated, so the hooks, filters and functions are getting there – into place, it’s just the documentation that is really lacking…

  • hi,
    again: great plugin.
I wonder if it would be possible to save Adresses (places) so that if an event regulary occurs at the same place the user can chose that from a list of saved places. This maybee could perfectly work together with Gpress. You could see my comments for ´further information about the idea:…[Read more]

  • hi, i would love to see that BP would include an functionalitie or maybe an API for Geopositions / Places. This feature could base on one of the exisiting plugins for example gpress. It would be amazing to see that different plugins could use the same saved places (for example gpress, BP-Links and JE Event […]

    hi, thanks for the reply.

First of all lets say that the following WP BP concepts could be respected:
Categories, User’s Profile, Activity Stream, Groups, Special Pages (as BP-Links, or Forum etc…)

i think there could / should be the following different possibilities:

    1. A post in the acitivity-stream could apear as an “closest adress” and or…[Read more]

hi, is it possible to call the BP Link-site via html in a way that a certain category is chosen?

for example lets say i do have 9 links – 3 of each category A, B, C. is there a way to create a link, which when the user clicks on, open BP-Links and shows the 3 links of category B?

    Question 1:
hey, i just installed the plugin and do get a “wiki” entry in groups admin menue and in wp admin backend too. i created a wiki site in admin backend but its just shown nowhere.
when i click on wiki at groups admin frontend just nothing is shown (blank page). What am i doing wrong? is there any documentation? Thanks a…[Read more]

  • @virtuali: thanks for your answer and yes i’ll always search for plugin myself first of all – but sometimes you just oversee something right? I think those functionality was not included until now, and i just wanted to give a hint that these could be necessary functionalities for a community platform… @mercine: thanks that looks […]

  • hi, i really do miss the following features: – file uploads for forum posts (in groups). – group-representative site (for example a wiki) optionally visible for everyone (to public) for example to prepresent certain groups and their intention. – contact feature for bp-users to a certain group. Something like a private-message which goes to the […]

    hi,
    – is it possible for bp users to post locations in an activity stream?
    – would it be possible to have something like a Location Pool, where every BP-User can add any location to that list (just like BP-Links)?
    thanks and best regards

    • At the moment, there is no way (out of the box) to add locations to activity updates, but it is real close to the top of the list, and seems to be something a lot of people are interested in, so how exactly do you see it working…? Regardless of whether each activity can be given its own location or not, where we would add the location on the f…[Read more]
