great plugin! im using it right now, im looking for something else even so:
Short scenario description: scientists of different fields forming workgroups. Collecting and presenting really different scientifical articles (rss) to each other. Those rss have to be structured.

We are using the external group blog plugin until now. In our case the possibility to classify rss-feeds to certain groups is really necessary and a must have. Even though this is not going far enough. im looking for the possibility to allocate external rss-streams to sub-blogs or sub-forums of a certain group so that the flood of information is again more structured. Any hint? May is put it on xmas-wishlist? The possibilty of adding rss to group-forums would do the job already ;)

hi again! i found the following plugin, which indeed really does what i expected: it streams rss feed’s to a group, giving the group administrators the possibily to edit the list of streams. -> External Group Blogs
    https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/bp12-external-group-blogs/

@anton: the mentioned plugin should do it perfect for me, but thanks anyway.

yeah! thats exactly what i meant ;) sorry for being in a rush and writing encrypted. it would be great to have the possibilty (best would be on user’s side) to assign the rss-stream to a certain group-activity, rather than flushing (“spaming”) the main activity stream.
@bowromir: indeed nice job, my commendation! @pisanojm: what kinf of plugins di you found, are they fullfilling your needs?

thanks! it offers new possibilities ;) both: plugin and bp-tricks website ….
i would like to be able to assign the stream, where external feeds show up (blog, page or group) – possible?

hi, i really do like the group-blog functionality, dont get me wrong! :)
here my question: in a practical or psychological or user perspective way – what is the difference (advantage/disadvantage) between activating group blog and the group forum functionality? am i a complete bloghead ? ;)

    best regards

similar problem over here, autocomplete function finds valid users and shows them up, but in the following lines an error is displayed 3 times:

“Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at mountpointwp-contentpluginsbuddypressbp-themesbp-default_incajax.php:556 in mountpointwp-contentpluginsbuddypressbp-messages.php on line 556”

    any idea?

by the way, is there a plugin which enables a better useabbility for choosing multiple user’s to send a private message to? Something like a list with checkboxes for example?

ok, polldaddy works great, but no possibility to create a poll on user’s side as i see. isn’t there a poll system compatible to buddypress that allows to attach a poll to an activity? or is there a possibility to have a poll attached to the forum coming with buddypress?

    thanks first –
as i saw right these filters are preset and can be found under admin bar: my account / activity / …
BUT i have to choose this filter as user. isnt it possible to set this filtered view as default
AND this filter is only either friends or groups or all, is it possible to have a filter like: friends and groups (but not everyone) ?

    best regards
