| WordPress Origin Story | I began web development in 2002, using ASP.NET and VB.NET. In 2004, I began using my ASP.NET coding skills to create web sites to make extra cash with AdSense and affiliate marketing. Then I discovered from other people that Google really loved WordPress sites, so I switched to using WP in 2009.
