| WordPress Origin Story | I had been developing websites since 1998 with good ol’ HTML/CSS, and in 2008 my wife needed to start a blog for her foundation and personal health journey. After researching blog options, she and I settled on WordPress, the .com version. It was so easy to get started. Of course I looked under the hood to see how it worked and was blown away by the power and elegance of the theme and plugin based architecture. So I also immediately started using the self-hosted .org version for developing small business websites and I have not looked back since. |
