I’ll look into it, but you must tell me first which version of WordPress and Buddypress, and which theme are you running.

I should prolly… ya know, release a new version some time soon. 🙂

Oh, and as for the three sample themes – I imagined people would make themes for their sites that range from simple colour and image changes, to themes that completely change the look of a group.
In the sample site I am building the themes change things quite drastically in some places. Every group almost looks like a site on its own. It’s like…[Read more]

Thanks for the feedback. The colour picker list actually is not supposed to have any dots. I have tried to make that whole box as external-css-proof as possible, but obviously missed a few items. I will take care of that this week too.

@Anointed @paulhastings0 @ekawaii
Just updated to 0.8.8 and I have hope for this one. The problem had me stumped for a bit though. Anyhoo, as always, appreciate the feedback.
@1stAngel Will now get back to your promised task also. 🙂

I’ll be sure to check it in 2.9.2 before I commit the next change.

Nah, that’s me forgetting to update the changelog. Bad bad me, I know. 🙂 Another tiny update coming very soon, then I’ll correct that too.

Sounds like a problem one other user had, causing the admin menu not to show up under settings. I’ll see if I can sort it out today.
-
I kept clicking around randomly, and eventually it showed up under the settings tab. screenshot shows the link under the buddypress tab, but I don’t get it there.
At least it is working now, though I have no idea what click ended up turning it on.
-
I have the same problem actually. The menu only appears underneath the “Settings” tab and never underneath “BuddyPress”.
By the way, the current plugin version is 0.8.7 but the changelog only shows up to 0.8.6. Is it possible that we’re upgrading to the wrong version of the plugin?

I’m having the same issue, no link under Buddypress in admin to this mod and I don’t have one under settings either and I as well could not find a save button in the dashboard. I’m running WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.4.1

At a glance it looks like it should be working with your theme. Sooooo don’t need access…
I’m in the process of fixing a bug that comes up with Internet Explorer. Will let you know when this is done, since that might possibly also have affected your installation.
I’m going on the assumption that it’s borked.

Found some bugs with the editor under Internet Explorer. I’ll look into that today. I don’t run Windows at home, so will try to fix it at work.

@Anointed – ok, I have managed to replicate your error. Seems to be something that happens with Internet Explorer. I only have IE8 here, but will test it with some other versions also.
EDIT: Yeah, it’s the hover tooltip script I use. I’ll find a better one.

@anointed – Got it, thanks, and it’s ok, don’t need access, I just want to look at which scripts and css load when the page loads.

I wrote some notes in the FAQs, but they are developer directed. If you need me to look at your site, I’d be more than happy to. I would not need admin access, just a group to play with. I can prolly help you from there. You can pm me the address if you want.
-
I will have to make you a member and explain to everyone as it is by nomination membership lol pm me your email address and a username and I will let you in 🙂

it doesnt work and i use Firefox. I have an orange background now but nothing else has changed. I do not use the default theme and I think it must be that.
I have opened membership so if you want to come and play you can.

@Anointed – I would like to have a look at your site, if you don’t mind. I’ll see if I can figure out what’s biting it.

Hehe, my bad for not getting around to proper documentation yet. 😉 In fact, give me a day or two, I’ll have something written up. Better late than never.

Awesome, many thanks!

New version is up, but not with the custom background stuff just yet. I’m taking my time with that because if I do it wrong I could end up causing big security craters in people’s sites. 🙂 There are a few other features I am also holding back for the moment.

I have a plugin that might help:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-group-css/
Falls under the category: Slightly rough around the edges but kinda works. 🙂EDIT: Just noticed that paulhastings mentioned it… yay. Update released just yesterday.
