Hi,
I have a student whose blog is missing the admin toolbar. It is not theme dependent, as a change in theme still has a missing toolbar. The same theme has the toolbar on other blogs. All other blogs are fine. Any ideas?

Thanks Paul, but I don’t to correct their words, I want to highlight them so that the kids can see they need to learn how to spell those particular words.
Is there a plugin where you can highlight words in a blog post without going into the post?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a way to help us do this better. We are teachers, and students often make spelling errors within their blog posts. As co-administrators of their blogs, we want to somehow highlight the words they’ve spelled incorrectly, as quickly as possible. At the moment, we are going into […]

Hi, I wasn’t sure where to post this but hopefully here this will get the audience it deserves. We’ve been using buddypress at our school in regional Victoria, Australia, for all of 2010 and it has just been brilliant. It has enabled us to give each students their own blog, plus put them into group […]

Rob Sbaglia posted on the forum topic Please help – upgrade to Buddypress 1.2.5.2 is a disaster! in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 1 month ago
Phew! I solved the problem. I first deleted the BuddyPress Default 1.1.2 theme, then deleted BuddyPress, then reinstalled BuddyPress, which gave me the new default theme, which has restored all the links and the admin toolbar.
I am one very happy and relieved man.
Thank you LPH2005 and paulhastings0 for your assistance; much obliged.

I should be a little more specific in my problem. The theme I have going is the BuddyPress Default 1.1.2 theme. This used to work fine, but now the admin bar no longer works and all the links to the main blog, forum, groups etc etc are down.

Just tried that. The theme that gets loaded is BuddyPress Default 1.1.2 . Is this what it should be?

If I can just install the new buddypress theme with a functioning toolbar I’ll be ecstatic.

Update was automatic. I don’t think I have a caching plugin – would that be through wordpress?

Hello, I tried upgrading to Buddypress 1.2.5.2 and it hasn’t worked at all. I have lost all my groups, and the buddypress theme I was using no longer works as it should. When I try and upload a new buddypress theme, I get : Broken Themes (Site admin only) The following themes are installed but […]
