In reply to: Which template file is Settings?
yes, you have to fix it via css.
No, change password for is not the only one. almost all the core settings(core notification/password change) and many plugins use this plugin-template.php for showing the content.
Please check do you have this tag in your plugin template.php
<?php do_action('bp_template_title') ?>This is used for showing the title, you should never hard code the title there.
In reply to: Blog post avatar helpreplace that line with this one
<?php
global $post;
echo bp_core_fetch_avatar( array( 'item_id' => $post->post_author, 'type' => 'thumb', 'width' => 50, 'height' => 50));
?>Hope it helps
In reply to: Change Password template BP 1.1.3settings uses ‘plugin-template.php’
but the settings code is auto generated(by bp core), you can only customize the look and the feel of the layout using ‘plugin-template.php’
In reply to: how to require user to upload avatar on signup.But yes, Bp allows uploading avatar in the second step of signup, so if you are just looking for that, then it will work.If you are looking for avatar uploading at the signup page(step 1), then you need to do custom coding.
In reply to: Which template file is Settings?For the layout , It uses ‘plugin-template.php’
The output(the settings data) and generated by the core. If you want to change the layout, customize ‘plugin-template.php’
In reply to: wp-admin/?c=1not really. Since this is a buddypress forum, you may get shouts from anyone here for asking a wpmu theme.So please be aware of that

Now, Just the wpmu details.
Is it a fresh install.
which version
subdirectory/vs subdomain, any error log.
custom plugins/themes used.
That should suffice.
In reply to: wp-admin/?c=1well, In that case make sure , there is no plugin in your mu-plugins directory.
and also provide further details, which may be helpful in detecting problem.
In reply to: wp-admin/?c=1hi Ram
This is because of your plugin/or the active theme is using some hook wrongly to add menus/scripts to wp backend.
Check by disabling plugins one by one.
check your database, the members still exist ?
I am unable to think a solution right away, but I remember DJPaul saying something like if the members login, the list should update, if the users exists in database(wp_users)
Edit: sorry I was In the middle of posting ,while you already posted the resolution :S
have you checked this thread.
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/blog-page-not-displaying
try the solution, hopefully that should work.
In reply to: can a user enter his own password at registration?@Greenkaos
I had already resolved the issue for @fd, after her mail on my blog.
This plugin is not for buddypress 1.1.x, It was pre 1.1, and still works with 1.0.3(if anyone uses that).
buddypress 1.1 has the same functionality built in core.So, This plugin is not under active development anymore.
hope It makes sense.
Thanks

In reply to: Detailed Debugging ?ok,basic advise
1.drop all tables from database which starts with .wp_bp_
2.edit wp_sitemeta
delete all the following entries
bp-core-db-version
bp-activity-db-version
bp-blogs-first-install
bp-blogs-db-version
bp-friends-db-version
bp-groups-db-version
bp-messages-db-version
3.Delete buddypress from wp-content/plugins
4.delete wp-content/themes/bp-sn-parent and bp-default
4.Try logging In to your site and check if all the basic wpmu things work.
5.Now download bp 1.1.3 and upload it using ftp
6.Go ahead and activate.
see , if this problem is resolved. If not, PM me your site details, I will be glad to check and help.
From your errors, It seems BP is not getting installed properly, that”s why I recommend these comprehensive steps.
In reply to: bp_get_group_avatar_thumb returning empty image?The reason is bp_get_group_avatar_thumb() assumes you are inside group loop and simply ignores the $group,which you passed.
A possible solution will use this method instead.
//code edited from here
Edit:checked my template, It seems ,It does not work. Instead use
bp_core_fetch_avatar( array( 'item_id' =>YOURGROUPID, 'object' => 'group', 'type' => 'thumb', 'width' => 64 ,'height' => 64 ) )Hope It helps.
In reply to: Cannot login into new blogsplease provide more details.
Can you confirm you are using members widget or what. If you are using members widget , you can change the number from Dashboard->appearance->widgets, go to members widget (which is assigned to some area on you home) and change the number there(show max no. field)
If you are using custom code, you will have to do it manually, using the member loop
In reply to: Removing TabsI hope you are using default theme.
You can find it in bp-sn-parent/header.php ,just remove the code you don’t want from there.
But better advise, create a new child theme, copy the header.php there and edit it to remove the links you don’t want.
ok,I am going to Test the code on sub directory install, I hope changing the == with strpos will solve the issue.still Need testing.Will be updating here shortly.
In reply to: Sub-Blog Doesn’t Show Blog Postsok
As I see now, You are removing blog slug prom post permalink Is that right ? May I know, you are using some plugin or custom code to do that. As that may be a reason.
In reply to: wp-admin/?c=1updated and uploaded.
there was a minor code change required for the file which I am using for theme options in the backend. WordPress requires unique slug, which I had not put there, so was causing issues.It was related to add_theme_options, there are no other changes.
Please either overwrite whole theme or just overwrite cosmicbuddy/theme-admin/admin.php with the new one.
both will work fine.
Thanks
Brajesh
In reply to: Sub-Blog Doesn’t Show Blog PostsIt seems to me, you are unable to catch the blog slug.
make sure , you functions.php has something like this,You can see this code in bp-sn-parent
/* Make sure the blog index page shows under /[HOME_BLOG_SLUG] if enabled */
function bp_dtheme_show_home_blog() {
global $bp, $query_string, $paged;
if ( $bp->current_component == BP_HOME_BLOG_SLUG && ( !$bp->current_action || 'page' == $bp->current_action ) ) {
unset( $query_string );
if ( ( 'page' == $bp->current_action && $bp->action_variables[0] ) && false === strpos( $query_string, 'paged' ) ) {
$query_string .= '&paged=' . $bp->action_variables[0];
$paged = $bp->action_variables[0];
}
query_posts($query_string);
bp_core_load_template( 'index', true );
}
}
add_action( 'wp', 'bp_dtheme_show_home_blog', 2 );In reply to: wp-admin/?c=1as per my tests, It seems to be problem because you are using my theme cosmic buddy there, and I see there is a bug in theme/components supplied with it which is causing this issue. Just investigated, after you reported this issue here.
I will be providing an update in an hour there.
In reply to: Blog description from a specific blog@nickbwatson you are most welcome

@Xevo I knew that, but I thought to emphasize better, so written a verbose copy
In reply to: Migration Issue- Wire and Activiy Data Missingwell, can you explain form which version you upgraded.
there have been changes in the database schema for activity as far as I remember in bp 1.1(just 1 table now).So that may be a reason.
have a look here
https://buddypress.org/blog/news/buddypress-1-1-released/
and search the forum, you will see similar things already discussed.
In reply to: Blog description from a specific blogif you know the blog id then you can use something of this kind
say you want to get description for blog id having id 7
<?php
$blog_id=7;//or what ever
$description=get_blog_option($blog_id,"blogdescription");
echo $description;//show the description
?>Hope it helps
try this one. I had written about it in forum, so you can find it by searching the forum. Or check my post here
That should do the trick.
