Your requirements can be met – but will require extensive custom coding.
Content restriction can be handled with plugins like s2member.
There are some plugins for role creation and capabilities management.
But you’ll still need to create or hire a developer to create the missing requirements and any needed bridges between existing plugins. And it’s going to be quite a bit of work.
The messaging aspect is covered.
You may want to set up a test site where you can try out different plugins and combinations.
It will give you a better idea of what is required to match your specs.
And you’ll be able to talk specifics with developers.In reply to: how to hide a plugin generated buddypress tabRe Sorry: no problem, this forum can be buggy.
>why am i using the urbanfix_remove
You mean as a function name? It’s usually better not to use ‘bp_(etc)’ to avoid confusion and more importantly conflicts with BP code or code from other plugins.
http://nacin.com/2010/05/11/in-wordpress-prefix-everything/In reply to: how to hide a plugin generated buddypress tabPlease do not double post.
try this:
function urbanfix_remove_nav_item() { if( current_user_cannot("access_s2member_level2") ) bp_core_remove_nav_item('listings'); } add_action( 'wp', 'urbanfix_remove_nav_item' );In reply to: Remove member activity stream from profile nav bar‘Activity’ is the default tab.
If you want to remove it, you need to change the default tab.define('BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT', 'profile' ); function klosurdo_remove_member_nav($nav_array) { if( !is_user_logged_in() ) $nav_array = ''; return $nav_array; } add_filter('bp_get_displayed_user_nav_activity', 'klosurdo_remove_member_nav', 15, 1 );If debug is turned off, then you also have a php setting somewhere set to display verbose messages.
Maybe something like:
@ini_set('display_errors', 1);Where? I don’t know.
Check your php.ini fileIn reply to: [Resolved] How do I change text in Groups?The best way to change multiple strings is to edit the BP language file:
It can be a tricky one to track down – as you’ve noted.
I have no other suggestions, except…Meanwhile – it is just a warning.
You won’t see it if debug is turned off in wp-config.php.
You should not leave debug turned on, on a production (live) site.In reply to: Warning of BuddypressWhat versions of WP & BP ?

In reply to: [Resolved] List current users membershipsThe groups loop takes various parameters.
More info from the codex:Try this:
bp_has_groups( 'user_id=' . bp_loggedin_user_id() )Adding members automatically to sites in a multisite installation can be quite complicated.
This is the solution recommended by many people.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-user-management/If a plugin requires you to add / remove role capabilites specific to that plugin, then each member must at least belong to the main site.
Otherwisecurrent_user_can()will return false because the member does not belong to the main site.If a member belongs to the main site, but none of the sub-sites, then the only issue is that while viewing a subsite custom tab(s) may not appear in the BP dropdown in the upper right corner. But the tab(s) will appear on the actual profile page.
If anyone knows of a BuddyPress plugin that requires setting role capabilities and works without members belonging to the main site, please post a link here.

Sorry, try this version:
if( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( 'members' ) . '&per_page=1000') ) :For alphabetical, try:
if( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( 'members' ) . '&type=alphabetical&per_page=1000') ) :The file is here:
buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\register.phpThe recommended approach to changing any template is to create a template overload and make your changes in that file.

Create a page titled ‘Activate’. Leave everything else blank. Publish the page.
Click the ‘repair’ button and assign those pages and save.

if ( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( 'members' ) ) ) :

In reply to: use $varibal as parent url in bp_navYou put your variable in a string.
Try
'parent_url' => $bp->loggedin_user->domain . $bp->groups->slug . '/post/' . $variable,You should also have this at the top of your function:
global $bp;In reply to: Number of Topics and Replies in ProfileWouldn’t this work? Or am I missing something?

bp_loadedto load the file that creates the class instance.
Add thebp_readyhook in your class constructor.
Something like:
add_action( 'bp_ready', array( $this, 'curgi_group_something'), 99 );Timing issues can be tough.
Kudos for trying to use BP native functions.
If you’re in a hurry, you can always use the brute force approach and write some custom sql to insert a forum.In reply to: Trying To Get Access BBPress In My BuddyPress PluginYou don’t need to load everything from one hook.
Use
bp_loadedhook in your plugin loader file.
In that function, include or require one or more other files.
In one of those files, use thebp_readyhook, and go from there.In reply to: Trying To Get Access BBPress In My BuddyPress PluginWhat happens if you use a different hook ?
