In reply to: forum on site not working
Forums are controlled by bbPress.
You’ll have better luck asking on the bbPress support forum.Make sure that all the quotes are single and straight quotes, like so:
$query_string .= '&per_page=10';You referring to forum pages?
They are created by bbPress.
You could ask on the bbPress forums.
You’ll need to modify the bbPress templates. In reply to: Username shows up in header just below tagHave you asked on the Goodnews support forum?
It’s unlikely anyone here has that premium theme. In reply to: Username shows up in header just below tagThis is most likely caused by your theme.
To confirm, switch to a WP theme such as 2012.In reply to: [INFO] Useful s2member/buddypress knowledgeI wrote a function that would check a users information when they login.
Your function runs on every page load.
You could use this hook instead to run only on login. Note that the hook provides all the WP_User info that you need in the $user parameter. For the user_id gathering, bp_parse_args is the way to go.
An s2member codex page would be very useful. It will be editable.
It’s not an error, it’s a notice.
It can be ignored.
It will only appear if you have ‘debug’ set to true.
It’s not coming from BP, but from a function being called too early in your theme or some other plugin.
You’ll have to track it down, by switching to a WP theme like 2012 or deactivating plugins one at a time, and then changing the hook being used by that function. In reply to: groups added to phpbb?Integrating phpbb with BuddyPress would be a lot of work and would require a good developer with strong knowledge of both BP and phpbb.
I’m not aware of any plugin that bridges phpBB with WP and BuddyPress.
In reply to: Duplicated Groups on pageThis is probably a theme issue.
To confirm, try switching to a WP theme like 2013.There are several plugins for that.
Do a search for front end post. That is definitely non-standard behaviour.
>…the Group webpage is brought up
What group page? What theme are you using?
Have you tried switching to a WP theme like 2012?
Thereby determining if your issue is theme related.Have you tried deactivating other plugins?
In reply to: Comments for not registered usersNot possible at this time.
In reply to: Unban from Group? You need to use /wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-groups
Select the group >edit, scroll down to Manage Members, and change the Role for that member. In reply to: Email notifications not workingGo to wp-admin > users and edit your password and check the box ’email to user’.
If you don’t get an email, then it is a WP issue, not a BP issue. In reply to: Members Widget Title doesn’t appearsThe current title is: Mais Ativos
Change it in wp-admin > Appearance > Widgets
In reply to: How to list extended profile fieldsIf a user selected a choice and saved, it will show up on their profile.
Why would you want to list all 5 possible choices?
Where do you want to list them ?
In reply to: Comments not showing up in activity streamYes, that’s a definite clue.
Type should not be ‘last_activity’ and the other fields should not be empty.I just tried installing BP from ‘Add New Plugin’ and it works fine – blog comments appear in the activity stream.
At this point, I would suggest you wipe the single install completely – all files and the database – WP, BP, everything.
Start from scratch. In reply to: PaymentYou will need a membership plugin like S2Member or WishList Member.
In reply to: Comments not showing up in activity streamSorry, yes, it needs to be un-checked.
And it seems that doesn’t solve your issue.
I can’t think of anything else at the moment… I know it’s frustrating, perhaps somebody else will have thoughts on the matter. In reply to: How to delete “create group” button?Your issue is related to your theme.
Have you tried asking the theme author about your issue? In reply to: Comments not showing up in activity stream>I also have “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” UNchecked in Settings > Reading
Ok, that stops blog comments from appearing in the activity stream here.
I’m not sure why that is a condition, but it is.So try unchecking it.
In reply to: Comments not showing up in activity streamSeems like your settings are correct.
Those settings work on a basic install of WP + BP.
Have you tried deactivating akismet ?In reply to: Possible to upload Avatars for other User as Admin?I’m not aware of any avatar uploading for individual users on the backend of a basic WP + BP install.
In reply to: Comments not showing up in activity streamDo you have ‘Blog & Forum Comments’ enabled on this page
…/wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-settings ?In reply to: Possible to upload Avatars for other User as Admin?I haven’t tested this in multisite, and can’t at the moment.
On a single install, as an admin, I can go to profile page, select Profile, then Edit, then Change Photo and that takes me to an url like:
…/members/[login-name]/profile/change-avatar/
