https://gist.github.com/shanebp/5d3d2f298727a0a036e5Are you using a caching plugin?
In reply to: How to replace “Groups” with “Campaigns”How are you going to generate the .mo file after you edit the .po file?
The examples you give are just references to where the
.molanguage file should be used.
You only want to change the actual usage. Don’t touch the references. So
#: bp-core/bp-core-template.php:505 msgctxt "search form" msgid "Groups" msgstr ""becomes
#: bp-core/bp-core-template.php:505 msgctxt "search form" msgid "Campaigns" msgstr ""If you want to use find-replace, use a case sensitive approach.
Regardless, I recommend using poEdit.
In reply to: Edit profile groups on single pageThen create a template overload of this file:
buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\register.phpIn that file, prevent the display of certain fields by checking them by using
bp_get_the_profile_field_id()orbp_get_the_profile_field_input_name()
in the loop:while ( bp_profile_fields() ) : bp_the_profile_field();In reply to: Featured image for directories (page ID)Just go to wp-admin > Pages and roll-over the Edit link to the Members page.
You should see something like: …/wp-admin/post.php?post=18&action=edit
And in this case, the post id is 18In reply to: I Cannot Create GroupsCheck your permalinks – perhaps resave them.
Also check your .htaccess fileIn reply to: I Cannot Create GroupsIf http://acadayear.com/home/groups/ is not found, then of course http://acadayear.com/home/groups/create will be not found.
Solve the first issue first.
In reply to: Removal of html from all message boxesPlease don’t double post.
The answer to your question is similar to the answer in the same thread where you also asked this question.
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/how-to-disable-html-in-buddypress-private-message/There is no global filter for message boxes.
You have to find the filter hook as in the thread referred to above. In reply to: Why bpthumb == bpfull ?What are your settings in …/wp-admin/options-media.php ?
In reply to: menu logged out listNo, the links won’t be visible to those not logged in.
You can add a custom link.
See Custom Links on …/wp-admin/nav-menus.phpIn reply to: I Cannot Create Groupshttp://acadayear.com/home/groups/ is also not found.
Do you have User Groups enabled here?
…/wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-componentsHave you assigned a page to Groups here?
…/wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-page-settingsHave you read this?
In reply to: [Resolved] period or special characters in usernameThe link I shared above only allows letters and numbers.
So dots and @ symbols will be rejected.
Did you review the answer in that link?
Did you try it?In reply to: [Resolved] period or special characters in username– Is it possible as admin to change their username in the back office?
No, WordPress does not allow it. Usernames must be unique.
– Why the dot/period or special characters are allow in the username during the registration? and how i can block this?
There are various methods to restrict the characters allowed in a username when registering. Here’s one example:

In reply to: How to send a notification with email.Try adding a call to wp_mail.
There are several examples of that in codebase.
For example, seefunction bp_activity_at_message_notification
inbuddypress\bp-activity\bp-activity-notifications.phpIn reply to: Hide BP users depending on their PMPRO level'<strong>level=2</strong>'won’t work and probably will throw an error.
Ask PM how to gather all member ids for a certain level. In reply to: Hide BP users depending on their PMPRO levelReview this example.
You’ll need to adjust it to gather PM levels.
Ditto re this example.Using 3 register pages is going to create issues, and probably difficult to debug issues.
Try just just the one created by ThemeMyLogin – afaik it works well with BP.
In reply to: Register on a WP site without a BP profileA BP site uses BP to register users.
So afaik, it is not possible to create a WP account but not automatically a BuddyPress profile. You’re talking about an extended profile field on a member’s page > Profile > Edit ?
And changes are appearing properly in wo-admin > Users > User > Extended Profile?
But not on the front end for that member?
Then it sounds like a theme issue.
To confirm, try switching to a standard WP theme like 2015.In reply to: Debug Error Message in Locked Group Forum ThreadbbPress has it’s own support forums.
As you probably know, PHP notices are not that critical.
You might try looking at the file in the notice.
I suggest you review the function and perhaps add a conditional to check iftopicis empty before adding to$new_title

In reply to: Member Online in ProfileTry this in your theme/functions.php or bp-custom.php
function is_user_online() { $last_activity = bp_get_user_last_activity( bp_displayed_user_id() ); $curr_time = time(); $diff = $curr_time - strtotime( $last_activity ); $time = 5 * 60; // must be in seconds if( $diff < $time ) echo '<br/>online'; else echo '<br/>not online'; } add_action('bp_before_member_header_meta', 'is_user_online');
