managed to authenticate from the office (same machine and browser) … not sure what the block was at home but if I find any clues will let you know

Interestingly, I tried entering some bogus login info and it continued to prompt me, so it does seem to be accepting my correct login info – maybe I just don’t have permissions to create tickets?

The screen I get is identical to your image – even after it takes my credentials successfully.

In Chrome, nothing happens when I click the link.

In IE, if it’s my first try since I started my browsing session I will get a login prompt (browser pop-up). When I enter my buddypress/wordpress info (actually the same in my case), I am taken back to the same page and it still shows me as not logged in. If I try and login again from the same browser window, nothing happens. If I close and re-open the browser window, I get the prompt, but again doesn’t appear to log me in.

Thanks for your help on this.

Turns out ours is a clash with bp-group-control plugin. Disabled that and can delete users as expected. They must be redeclaring add_user().

We are also having the same problem with the delete user option in the admin bar. Also fatal error when users try. to delete their own accounts.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare add_user() (previously declared in /wp-admin/includes/user.php:23) in /wp-admin/includes/user.php on line 44

    Hi @jasonrundellfcl,

I’m having the exact same problem. Does buddypress have a dependency on some non-standard php libraries? Can you provide any more info?

    Thanks in advance.

I would also love to be able to do what @gtn is proposing. I’ve been able to set up a ‘News’ page that I can publish posts to which helps, but in the blogs listing, the main site blog is still linking through to my static home page rather than domain/news as I would like.

I was looking for the exact same thing as @rossagrant when I found this thread (a basic empty custom tab that admins can add content to). I’ve tried using the Group Extension API per the documentation, but the code seems to be unaware of the API when it gets processed. I get an error saying it doesn’t know what BP_Group_Extension is. If I remove the extends from my class, it falls over at the bp_register_group_extension call.

I have put the sample code word-for-word in my bp_custom.php file (per @boonebgorges).

I am a developer, but am new to wordpress/buddypress dev. I’m using latest versions of WP/Buddpress.

    Thanks for any pointers.
