@r-a-y Thanks. Do you mean I need to do the same thing I did to /pages and /posts? I did make the change in posts, but not pages. I didn’t see any reference to time in on pages.php or index.php. Any suggestion where I put it?

I’m not sure it’s the activity updates. See the homepage here: http://nextnewsroom.com. The time at the top of each posts just shows the time, not the date. If you click on the title of post, it displays time and date. Wondering why that change wouldn’t appear on the homepage as well as on the invidividual post?

Thanks @r-a-y . That worked for me on the individual blog posts. How do I get the change to also appear on the homepage? That is, when people are on the homepage, they still see the old time-only format. When they click on the post, the time and date appear on the post page.

@hnla I’ve elevated them all to contributors. I just want them to be able to write posts that appear in the main blog for now (rather than giving each person their own blog). But right now, those users don’t know where to go to write a post. I need to steer them to nextnewsroom.com/wp-admin . But when I do elevate them, there is no link or button or tab that appears that tells them how to get one. I’d like to add a tab that says “add new post” or some such thing that would take them to the dashboard. Is there an easy hack for doing that?

Thanks both @LPH2005 and @Paul Gibbs.

By the way, I CAN delete the user if I go the dashboard and go down to the WPMU ‘users’ section no problem. A little bit more work, but now that I’m getting the odd spammer signing up, it’s essential.

Paul: Thanks for the reply. One question before I do: If I disable buddy press…do i lose all the things i’ve configured and members I’ve added? Or will those be saved if i turn the BuddyPress plugin off?
