Hi,Milan suggested code is not working on latest buddypress install. it is giving following fatal error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_forums_get_topics()
Please suggest the alternative if any. thanks.
solution suggested by Andy works perfectly fine.hoping to see a widget from nickrita soon. thank you.
Greips, sorry. did I hijack your forum post? I’m only hoping we are reaching closer to your problem and mine together. thanks.
Xevo, could you be more detail? what file and which line needs to be modified? I guess you are referring to existing recent comments code but i’m not sure of the file. thanks for your help.
hmm.. I’m searching for the same thing. I guess there is no widget called sitewide comments. Recent comments only shows comments from the plugin activated blog not all blogs.
Am i mistaken?
Thanks for the replies. Yup, both didn’t work with wpmu minus buddypress. I tried wp contact form which is working. thanks.
Hi,
I’ve been searching across the forum and not found relevant topic or answer to my issue with contact form .Does anyone know why the contact forms are not working on bp default theme and how to fix it. Appreciate your help. thanks.
Is there any other contact form plugin that is working? Actually these plugins are working on other themes just not with bp default theme.
Thank you Brajesh. However it appears cluttered due to images in post. How to exclude images from showing up ?
Hi, Can someone help me to locate the code for recent sitewide posts? I would like to show post except or content from all the recent posts instead of simply listing the post title and author. appreciate your help. thanks
sorry . it was a silly mistake. php tags were missing. works fine now . A featured posts gallery from various blogs would be a nice asset for buddypress.
sorry DJPaul, I just tried with Avenue k9 theme and the issue is same. I believe my issue may not be related to which theme I am using . But some mu configuration. For eg. The urls http://user.musite.com/members , /forums, /groups and /blogs are all giving same error
“The page you were looking for was not found” . However i can access http://musite.com/members and all other links fine without issue.
I’m not sure what’s my next step? could you help me.
thanks for the reply . Is there a way we could tune the buddypress themes for members? If buddypress cannot be used on member blogs how would members ever visit social links like blogs, members, forums etc., ?
I’ve the same problem and not sure how your were able to fix it? could you brief again please?
i’m using buddypress default theme. configured wpmu to use subdomains
I seem to have similar problem. searched forums and couldn’t find any answers. I’ve installed wpmu+buddypress in subdirectory. configured dedicated ip and wildcard record to your DNS resource records. site is hosted on godaddy.
admin is able to login and navigate to all tabs like home, blog, member, blogs, groups and forums.
users are able to login and configure home page with widgets. home page works fine. but all other tabs blog, member, blogs, groups and forums are giving same error
“The page you were looking for was not found”
pls help!!
i’ve the exact same problem in my site. Language i’m using is hindi .I would like to see an option to edit slugs. Is this problem with Group only for you? I’ve issue with Category also. anyidea how to edit Category slug? I do not see an option either in new or in edit menus!
for eg. i’ve created a group named ‘మహేషౠబాబౠఫానà±à°¸à±’ where as the URL got created as below which is throwing “Bad Request – Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand”.
where as the group ‘ఈవà±à°¸à± à°•à±à°²à°¬à±’ works perfectly fine. can i control what format group permalinks be created ?
Mike,
i’ve tried both buddypress using facebuddy member themes as default. but the member home page has skeleton only and left, middle and right columns have same message.
“Please log in and add widgets to this column. Add Widgets”
is there a way admin can set default widgets for all members/blogs?
I’ve two other issues not related to this. let me know if i need to create a seperate post.
1. When i login as member (eg:blog1.domain.com ) and click on any tabs (Blog,Memebers,Groups,Blogs) they are giving the following error on the left column. i.e /members or /groups or /blogs are all producing same error.
Sorry, that page was not found
The page you were looking for was not found.
2. Is there a way i can set default widgets for all member blogs so that they can see this page after login instead of the current page that says
“Please log in and add widgets to this column. Add Widgets”
Sorry for the trouble again.
Thank you. i can wait for a week or two. if not i’ll take from trunk.
I got this error when a new blog is created and when i visit groups -> my groups . after a group is created this error goes away.
