My members keep asking me for an events planner and I would just like to say you guys are awesome.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for that but it is same with all themes.

I have created another problem by inadvertently installing a “member ship” script in the members sub directory. The result of that is now I can’t access groups and member profiles. I think I have some emails to send to my users and inform them that I need to do a clean reinstall and advise them that their profiles have been wiped.

I feel like a right muppet.

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. I did empty the browser cache FF3 and also tested it in Safari.

    2. The supercache seemed to install ok but when I amended the .htaccess file there was a problem and I had a white screen in admin area. I could back to previous page but could not deactivate it because it would take me to white screen again.

I deleted the plugin and everything seemed fine then I went to bed.

It wasn’t until the morning I noticed the missing column.

    3. I am using the facebuddy theme from http://buddydress.com

The database gets backed up every 24hrs.

    Problem site is http://blogfred.com

I found this Sceen Cast from sambauers at Automattic on the BBpress forum which goes through the install of wordpress mu 2.7 and bbpress 1 alpha. The integration of wp and bbprees is also fully shown.

So with SVN is it just a simple case of dropping the desired component or files into mu-plugins folder. Can you just add the individual files or do you have to have the whole component?

Do we need to deactivate the current components first.

What about css and the like. Will we will still need to fiddle with them??

Would it not be a good idea to create a new/clone plugin to replace the bp-wire plugin? Or am I missing something?

I tried to use a third party theme and added some code as per the instructions in the member-themes-readme.txt in the memberthemes folder. I had many problems but then soon realised that my theme was only compatible with wp 2.7.

I think that if there were to be a template club it may start with BP.

Now doubt, like anything else wp related, there WILL be a plethora of BP template sites popping up soon.

I have decided that I am a bit impatient and went down the road of least resistence. Thank you for your help but I have re installed from scratch and BP is working now.

I guess I should make regular backups and start learning PHP.

    Thanks for the reply,

I do not have access to server and my host is a friend of mine he is away.

I can access cpanel logs and get the last 300 errors. 300 like this.

    6:14 2008] [error] [client **.**.**] File does not exist: /home/blogfred/public_html/wp-content/themes/structure/images/create_account_button.gif, referer: http://blogfred.com/

I can actually create new accounts and login as normal but not able to login to admin or accounts pre WSOD.

You can bite, thanks for asking

I wanted a domain that would some how give the site some sort of identity. For me, Fred is the opposite to John Doe and the “keyword” blog fred had something to do with it.

    Hello buddys,

I would just like to say that I am very impressed, not only with BP but also the friendly and helpful people involved.

I have integrated googles Friend-Connect with http://www.blogfred.com perhaps it could confuse some people as there would then be “”2″” communities on my site!!

    Umm!

Still very early days for me as I have a busy life elsewhere.
