| WordPress Origin Story | I was first introduced to WordPress while I was still working in the restaurant industry. I was a corporate trainer working for an organic pizza chain that was creating their training materials in WordPress. I was drawn to it because it made sense and had structure, yet was easily customized. As a parent of three, I began looking for a career that allowed more flexibility than the restaurant industry allows. I dug into WordPress and completed as many front-end courses (HTML/CSS/JS) as I could. After I completed the front-end O’Reilly Technical School track, I started my first job working with WordPress, and have been doing so for the last four years. |
