How to make it work with WordPress Single Blog: Step 1 —- Go into the plugin folder and open the bp-auto-group-join.php file. Line 67 should be:
add_submenu_page( 'wpmu-admin.php', __("Link Auto Join Groups", 'buddypress'), __("Auto Join Groups", 'buddypress'), 1, __FILE__, "auto_group_join_plugin_options" );
change it to this:…[Read more] -

My only criticism of this pluggin would be that the CSS resets are a little aggressive. I noticed that p tags have no margin or padding at all, so you no longer see paragraph breaks. And headers are all the same size. Lists are not indented and don’t look like lists… etc. I removed all the font related html elements from the reset and also added…[Read more]

Thanks for your concern. Good thing is you can change up whatever you do not like. 😉 Also, I mushed two css files together in a rush to get some sort if mobile theme going. 50% if not more of the css is not even getting used. This theme is a beta version with ongoing fixes, updates, removals etc.

Ah yes, excellent point. Facebook is a good example. So many features completely break on the iPad. And other sites just have too many hover links or really really tiny targets. Good point. My site is a pretty simple BuddyPress site though. No flash, no hover, not crazy Ajax modal windows and such that could break on iPad. Thanks for the theme. It…[Read more]

Okay. Sorry. Just took a peak inside the main plugin file. I see there is a function with an array of user agents. Ill just comment out the ipad and see if that works. I assume it will.

How are you sensing for iPad? Just a media query? I really don’t want to serve iPad users a mobile version since our site works awesome on the iPad in the full version. Personally, I get really annoyed when any website gives me a mobile version on my iPad. I mean, the screen is 1024 and the iPad can usually handle any well-coded non-flash site…[Read more]

you know alot if sites are not touch enabled and are designed for a mouse. That’s really the only reason to create an iPad specific site. I may include an iPad theme in an app I’m working on.

@travel-junkie How does this plugin compare to EventPress in terms of features? I played with EventPress a bit but not much. I found it a bit much. And yet it doesn’t do some critical things (in my view) like group-related events. It’s a little hard to compare though since I haven’t bought BuddyVents (yet) and EventPress hasn’t posted a feature…[Read more]

To be honest, I don’t really know. I installed EventPress once and got a few fatal errors, so deactivated it again. But here’s a feature list of Buddyvents:
* Events can be created by any user
* Events can be attached to a group, if the event creator is a group admin
* Event Privacy that includes group integration
* Activity stream integration
*…[Read more]

I wonder what would be required to make this work on wordpress single? Maybe it’s just a matter of moving the entry point from the site admin menu to somewhere else? Im going to look into it and post a hack if possible. Really need this functionality and development appears to be dead.

Fantastic news! I can’t wait. I also have mixed feelings about EventPress. Will your plugin offer activity feed integration and (less importantly) RSVP and recurrence?

Is there any documentation for this plugin? I can’t get the listing page to work at all. How do you get a list of events? When I go to /events/ it always brings me to the detail page of the most recently added event. Getting very frustrated. I’m using the latest versions of WP, BP, […]
