Just a suggestion though,

A plugin should not be needed for this functionality, this should be a native BP feature IMO.

So does this mean that a future release of Buddypress will incorporate this fix? Or do we need to manually edit code? I want to make sure I am understanding this correctly

*Resolved*

We got our host to check our security settings and it was a mod_rewrite issue (I think that’s what they said at least)

Everything now works as expected.
