The MELBOURNE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC scene has been one of the most active in the world for many decades. Some of these independent MELBOURNE ALTERNATIVE BANDS, of many genres, have become famous around Australia and around the world. Among the most enduring underground MELBOURNE INDUSTRIAL BANDS is the EYE project. Since the early 1990s they’ve released many songs, EPs and albums; some featured on national radio stations – “Album of the week” on some – and national TV video music shows (SBS and ABC). EYE’s members have been very involved with promoting many MELBOURNE INDUSTRIAL MUSIC artists through radio shows, reviews, organising services and producing compilation albums.
