| WordPress Origin Story | Web development has always been a hobby of mine. I created my first development team in 2009 as a side project. Mostly worked on a custom CMS, as well as built websites with 1C-Bitrix and Laravel. Somewhere around 2015 made the switch to WordPress. In 2017 made a career switch from managing an IT department to a full time web developer at WPMU DEV, starting as the lead developer for Smush and Hummingbird plugins and in 2019 becoming the head of development. |
