Professor Vladimir Barbakadze has a PhD in Technical Sciences.
He is an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Architectural and Construction Sciences, Academician of Transport of Russian Federation and Academician of Georgian Engineering Academy.
After university graduation he started his career as designing engineer in SOYUSDORPROECT in Tbilisi, capital of country of Georgia. He was studying Structural Mechanics in Dresden Transportation University, Germany and Moscow State University of Transportation, where he subsequently accepted a faculty position. After successful writing of doctoral dissertation and award of PhD in Technical Science at the Moscow State University of Transportation he rose to the rank of Professor of Structural Department. In Moscow State University of Transportation Professor Barbakadze was lecturing following disciplines: building constructions, bridges and tunnels, modeling of structures and others.
He led a series of teams conducting state-of-the-art research in a wide variety of disciplines’ ranging from durability, longevity and safety to methods of testing of building constructions. In addition, he has publishes extensively on variety of topics including application of new materials, constructions and technologies of constructions pioneering studies on modeling and underground constructions. These studies have resulted in the publication of 250 scientific papers and 20 books and textbooks.
Professor Barbakadze is an inventor who holds patents in Russian Federation and USA. He served both as administrator and project leader. He is known for his wide interests in technology, sciences, environmental issues, and humanitarian projects especially related to providing educational opportunities. During past 30 years, he has served as Managing Director, Chief Scientist and Director of the Research in several organizations.
Now, he desires to interact with talented visionaries who can co-facilitate developing technologies and provide the training and resources for indigenous and jobless people to help themselves. His ultimate goal is to serve as a global destinarian helping to shape the future structure of societies through the introduction and use of environmentally – friendly technologies such as providing inexpensive access to high-quality water, production of high quality affordable organic food, producing environmentally safe locally generated energy, solve environmental problems, and develop affordable and environmentally friendly housing.
Vladimir Barbakadze was born and grew up in Khashuri, Georgia. He has strong business relationship with local authorities.
