    Thanks Ray… i don’t actually see an option for ENABLING this. I’m using the SHOW a default image for users without one.

    Paul, so right off I see errors with the call to a non-existent header image (I replaced it with a invisible gif and it is now solved) and adminbar.css.

    With adminbar.css:

    I’m using a child theme and I have its style sheet setup to import this way:

    /* Inherit the default theme styles */
    @import url( ../../plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css );

    /* Inherit the default theme adminbar styles */
    @import url( ../../plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/adminbar.css );

    That’s where the error is coming from. Reading over some of the changes to BP 1.5 i noted something called enqueued css. I’m not familiar with it really. If I just delete those two lines will that style sheet still inherit the parents style sheet? Deleting those lines does resolve that final error.

    Thanks Paul… Server error log seems okay. Javascript console had the following errors:

    Any ideas? It looks like a few may be related to BP. Thanks for the help. I have an older install as well on another site which I’ve held off on upgrading and there everything seems fine.

    Adding here. I’m using CHROME and the problem is much more noticeable with it than with other browsers. I’ve asked my members to point out after-upgrade-problems and the same thing was noted by another random user; also using Chrome.

    Ignore the last capture. That refers to ID which is another value.

    Thought of a better way to ask my question.

    Can someone post the code to display all recent site wide posts?

    Mmm so no way to have moderators for the activity feed w/o giving them super admin? The problem i foresee is going to bed and waking up to dozens of porn images/videos from a hater. That could go on forever..

    Hmmm did I first need to download the Spanish version of WP? I have the English version installed :S

    Found it:

    1. From site admin, create a PAGE for your blog posts (BLOGS, NEWS, etc…)
    2. SETTINGS>>READING>>A STATIC PAGE>>POSTS PAGE set to whatever name you’ve chosen for your page in step one.

    That’s it…

    Here’s a capture of the relevant user profile (the one that I’m trying to de-admin):

    “BuddyPress ready” – this is new to me :) Ummm… I’m just using 20 10 default that came with WordPress. If there is another can you point me to it?

    Thank you!

    btw, i’m now displaying PHP errors with display_errors = On via php.ini and all i see is the same blank white page :(

    Just tried with 20 10 and I have the same problem. It won’t take hold of the child theme. I just get a blank white screen.

    Yes… they are named as follows:

    Parent theme:
    /wp–content/themes/twentyeleven/

    Child theme:
    /wp–content/themes/twentyelevenchild/

    Style sheet for child theme is as follows:

    /*
    Theme Name: Twenty Eleven Child
    Description: Child theme for the Twenty Eleven theme
    Author: xatblogs.com
    Template: twentyeleven
    */

    @import url(“../twentyeleven/style.css”);

    How do they look?

    P.S. In the last question I guess I’m wanting to know if WordPress and plugin updates will be left to individual blog users or can I as the network admin update all the blogs using the UPDATE NETWORK function.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks Boone/r-a-y…

    That works!

    Thank you both, that helped…

    I did however run into one problem. The file that I need to work on is located outside the bp-default:

    wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-signup.php

    Isn’t that the file that I would edit to work on the positioning of text on the registration page? I may be wrong…

    Thanks!

    Ousep, thanks for the advice… but wouldn’t I be in the same situation? My new admin account named “whatever” would still be visible in the member list.

    I’m trying to keep people from seeing it…

    Anyone? Still having this problem.

    Thanks!

    Figured it out…

    When a user or admin creates a new blog they are prompted with the following message:

    “I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Technorati, and in public listings around this site”

    The key phrase is: “and in public listings around this site”

    If you select NO, your posts for that newly created blog will not appear on the activity feed. This is true for users and Admins alike.
