    well, a new post is now showing in the site wide feed but it’s got the wrong author. Plus, although the post was added minutes ago, the site wide feed has the post added over 6 days ago in the date_recorded field.

    Also, in the email message, the url to the message is [site]/members/brentlayman/messages/view/. This takes you to your message box but should link directly to the message.

    1. Yes

    2. Yes (at least I think so. I’m not familiar with Bumpin)

    3. Yes

    Check out http://greathistory.com for an example of a modified site.

    This is very interesting. I’d love to see a nice write up on it too.

    For now, I simply commented out the line

    add_filter( 'bp_the_profile_field_value', 'xprofile_filter_link_profile_data', 2, 3 );

    on line 14 of bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-filters.php. The current fn simply makes way too many words into search hyperlinks.

    Yes, for me the versions were wpmu 1636 (downloaded around 10:30 pm EST yesterday) and bp 941 d/l’ed around the same time. I kept wpmu 1636, went back to bp 913 and the error vanished.

    It’s not htaccess. I just did a clean install of the latest wpmu trunk and the latest buddypress trunk (941). I received the same error you are seeing. I delete buddypress, installed trunk 913 (downloaded on Jan 23) and the error went away. I don’t know why but it’s something in the latest trunk.

    I noticed too when looking at Mike’s activity in wp_bp_activity_sitewide that of his entries in that table were gone except for one he’d just done as a test comment.

    not good! :-(

    Not sure if you found an elegant answer, but you could hack the source code. I know, not the preferred method but if you track it so you add it in at the next update.

    This will get the job done to remove all user_id is 1 activity from the site wide activity.

    In bp-activity/bp-activity-classes.php in the function get_sitewide_activity around line 261:

    FIND: $activities = $wpdb->get_results( $wpdb->prepare( "SELECT * FROM " . $bp['activity']['table_name_sitewide'] . " ORDER BY date_recorded DESC $limit_sql" ) );

    CHANGE TO:

    $activities = $wpdb->get_results( $wpdb->prepare( "SELECT * FROM " . $bp['activity']['table_name_sitewide'] . " WHERE user_id != 1 ORDER BY date_recorded DESC $limit_sql" ) );

    Now user 1’s activity will not show on site wide activity.
