About Me

Panel interview is an interview in which involves the participation of a mixed group of relevant experts (each as a “panelist”) including HR specialist, Technical expert, line managers, etc. and normally, is consist of from 2 to 8 people.

Each panelist will take a different role in a panel interview: For example, a HR expert will examine whether the candidate is suitable to the Culture of the Company or not? A line manager will want to know more about the ability of the candidate in dealing with the job and his/her skills relating to the job, etc.

1. Prepare for a panel interview:
• First of all, you must research about the Company where you apply for an interview. For example, what is its business line? Company structure? Business policies? Organizational structure? And so on;
• Search for any sample of panel interview questions and try to answer them;
• Prepare a list of questions to ask other participants in the panel interview.

2. During a panel interview:
What you can do in the day of panel interview?
• Prepare an appropriate outfit; find out how edit CV correctly and be punctual; spend some time reviewing the structure of the Company will help relieve the stress and increase your self-confidence;
• Try to make eye-contact with other members of the interview panel. Greet the others with a smile; and try to remember or note down their names and positions so that you can write them a thank-you letter after the interview;
• You should emphasize in discussing with all the members of the interviewing panel; never focus your questions on just one member.

3. What should you do after an interview panel?
At the end of the interview, you should have had the names and positions of your interviewers.
You should send a thank-you letter to each of them separately. Say thanks to them for spending time talking with you in the interview.
