BuddyPress.org

Many years ago I had a small open source news network on that popular DYI social network platform, after a terms of service change that I just refused to go along with I began looking for an alternative option. After trying several similar platforms that just didn’t live up to their own hype I discovered WordPress and BuddyPress so without knowing anything at all I set out to build my own site.

I soon found that I really enjoyed trying out every plugin and theme I could find, that soon evolved into customizing each and every one of them (just to see if I could) which in turn evolved into writing my own.

It’s now been several years and I still haven’t finished that first site ( because I keep finding new things to learn and try out) but I have gained a AAS in web application development, a wealth of WordPress experience and a full time job working with WordPress and WordPress Network installs (multisite).
