It’s not buddypress devs responsibility too update plugins.

BP-Album is probably the most important one, I’d say.

You have to update your permalinks after activating buddypress.

I already had that setup and it works fine, but since mine isn’t a live site yet, I’m planning on working with the bbPress plugin for WordPress.

We need more BuddyPress themes, but can’t really say I like the colors and all that shadow..

Other then that, it’ll probably be a good template to work out off. Keep at it. 🙂

You don’t need Buddypress at all in this situation. The only thing Buddypress adds is a community.

The only thing you may need in the future is the “report this” function, which will be a core function later on in Buddypress.

Wouldn’t it be better to write this on wordpress itself with the help of custom post types and add_cap?

Perhaps blow some life into this plugin?

Use poEdit.

I’m guessing that if you can login with your facebook account, you can also login with openID.
Perhaps you can rewrite the plugin?

Cant get it easier then that.

You need a lot of memory for a buddypress on a wpmu/wp install.
Get some more. Try 64 or 128.

If your have a big community your gonna need a lot either way.

This isn’t something for the core. Which is what they’re mainly focusing on at the moment.

@nahummadrid I tried the same thing, found out that it was way too much work.

Either wait till BP Album+ is done or wait for WP3.0 with its custom post types.

BP Album+ has promised to do something of the like as well in a future update.
