Zenseeker started the forum topic How to move BP from wildcard subdomain to "real" subdomain? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 10 months ago I would like to move our buddypress site. This is the scenario: We have bp running on a subdomain with multisite enabled on the main site. Our main site is http://howtomakeadesignerhandbag.com . Buddypress is on subdomain http://community.howtomakeadesignerhandbag.com . I understand from my hosting service, hostgator, that buddypress is using a…[Read more]

Zenseeker posted on the forum topic wp-login vs bp register question in the group Installing BuddyPress: 15 years, 2 months ago Thanks Paul, I had define ( ‘BP_ROOT_BLOG’, 2 ); but not define ( ‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true ); It’s working, kind of, but now there’s another issue. A user can now activate their account from the activation email if they use the register from the wordpress meta widget on the main site. However, if I try to […]

zenseeker posted a new activity comment 15 years, 2 months ago Thanks for replying Paul. I saw that statement in a thread, but I don’t really understand. If buddypress is in the subdomain and its signup is working correctly, why is it affecting the main site’s wp register? Do I need to activate bp on the main site? If I do that, won’t it affect my main site? I want the main site to stay as it is, and…[Read more] -

Zenseeker posted an update in the group BP Jobs Board: 15 years, 2 months ago I saw this Ticket #1718 was closed. I am having this problem when a user registers from the wp meta widget and clicks on the activation link in their email. Signups from buddypress signup seem to work. I would like to have the buddypress signup/login in the main site frontpage sidebar and get rid of wp register all together, but would like to…[Read more]

zenseeker posted an update 15 years, 2 months ago @DJPaul Wow, I’m really trying to get some help here. I saw you commented on the Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_page_title() in /home/howtomak/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/header.php on line 9 so I thought maybe I’d beg your assistance. I’ve replied to a thread you’ve made about these issues. The error around bp_page_title is because you’re trying to use BuddyPress (or, at least, its default theme) on a site that isn’t running the BuddyPress plugin. Let’s talk in the thread. -

zenseeker posted an update 15 years, 2 months ago @boonebgorges Hi,
Hate to just come begging. I posted something similar on MrMaz’ wall. These are walls, I guess.
Just curious, on average, how long does it take to get a response to a support question? I see that many seem to go unanswered. I posted a couple, but no responses. I realize people are busy and I am probably asking something…[Read more]

Zenseeker started the forum topic wp-login vs bp register question in the group Installing BuddyPress: 15 years, 2 months ago First off, I’d like to say what a marvelous job the developers did with buddypress. I was around back in the early days when getting bbpress integrated with buddypress was like climbing Mt. Everest. It brought me to my knees and I had to leave bp alone for awhile. Now, what a joy! So here’s […]
