1.6…. uh wow.

  • Yeah, I had to upload the old version from a backup archive because, well to be frank. Too many issues. The most glaring right off the bat was I lost all avatar images for all groups and profiles. What was left was a piece of code that showed the width and height of the avatar image. Very strange. I just have too many sites that use it in my network and don’t have time to resolve all these issues. I hope you get everything worked out with future updates.

I haven’t updated because I use so many custom bits. But seeing as how so many things changed, I have to ask… why?

Didn’t 1.5 make significant changes to custom BuddyPress usernames, only to remove it in 1.6 to use the default WordPress naming scheme? So this means we’re back to lowercase names?

I can understand making changes to previously broken code, but when other thing aren’t broken, why fix them?

BuddyPress 1.6 didn’t change how usernames are handled.
