404 on admin create group

    hi.
    when i click “create group” i get a 404 page.
    yes i’ve updated permalinks… and i also still have this problem when buddypress is the ONLY activated plugin.

    any suggestions? create group doesn’t work from admin nor user side.
    this is a new installation… on wp 4.9.6

    @somethingelse Please make sure you have enabled group component. If that’s already enabled try with default WordPress theme to debug any site-specific issue.

    Thanks… I figured it out. The problem was that I had made the groups page a child page. Which is a bit weird and I’d say a bug..

    But once I set it back to a top level page the problem disappeared.

    Coincidentally, the cover image function also has a bug in that it displays the HTML in the cover area but doesn’t display an image 🙂

    Cover Image issue should be theme specific, try to debug it using default wp theme for a while.
