404 profile url for users with accented name

Hello,
I installed last version of BuddyPress and have a problem for users that have name with accent. Example: if the username is “morè”, clicking on the user link profile site.com/members/morè/ became site.com/members/mor/ and shows 404 page.

How can I fix this issue?

@magnaromagna,

per default WP does not allow to use special characters in usernames.

As this is typically a WPissue, it’s better you search on wordpress.org forum
FYI, BP doesn’t manage registering, it only shows a form.
