4th type of Group

How about a fourth type of group:

o This is a public group that only mods can post to
…o Any site member can join this group.
…o This group will be listed in the groups directory and in search results.
…o Group content and activity will be visible to any site member.
…o Any site member can reply, but only mods can post new posts

Perhaps this could be made? Which files would be involved in adding this to what we have already? It seems like a modification of the current files could be done easily.

Alternatively (and perhaps more useful as you grow), maybe, like the Group Invitations section, a posting restrictions section:

    ———–

    Group Posting Restrictions

Which members of this group are allowed post:

    All group members
    Group admins and mods only
    Group admins only

Which members of this group are allowed reply:

    All group members
    Group admins and mods only
    Group admins only

Just a note on this and its applicability.

For example, universities and colleges. In this room, a teacher only can post new posts, but all can comment. Or in a faculty, the various teachers can, and the bulk of students can only comment. It’s useful because you don’t always want all members to be able to post new posts to your wall, but you want everyone to be able to reply to your post.
