I installed themes for both BuddPress and MarketPress – did I need to? Do I need MarketPress if what I’m mainly selling is memberships?

When somebody subscribes, what happens? Can they get a computer generated username and password and the ability to change at least the password when they go to the Activate Registration page? Why does it appear that the soonest I can send them a confirmation email is one day later instead of immediately?
How do I put my members into different groups according to their level and then according to other criteria such as coach, special need etc.? Can each group have their own documents, forum, etc.? And can there also be a Forum for all?
