A little word of thanks …

    @ronia

I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to all those Developers, Moderators, Members who have helped me with actual solutions or helpful links, and even when something is not directly available they have showed that they rae planning for those things indeed.

I am not taking any particular names as there are a LOT of them but will try to make a list of my problems and solutions soon on another day.

The facts that are touching and really heartwarming ( unlike projects like Drupal ) are

    • there is always an answer and considering this is an absolutely free forum, answers do occur pretty fast in most cases
    • the lead developer comes and directly talks to you even if you are a just newbie (wow!)
    • a project is not about one lead developer but many developers and code-creators (poets) and surprisingly most of the time they are here to hold hands
    • they all appear to be very nice (that’s ok) and very handsome guys (how’s that possible? everyone looks like a hero from Hollywood)
    • constantly evolving with new useful features

    ….

Words are not enough and I do hope I will accumulate enough in my piggybank to contribute via a paypal link or more excitingly and easily if the contributors have an amazon wish list link in their profile.

    Ronia-

You are very welcome! Thank you for the kind words and the thoughtful post. As I often say, we aim to please and sometimes we actually succeed. :)

Our community is only as good as its members. Based on that, I’d say that the BuddyPress community is a vibrant, healthy, and quickly-growing community.

That just makes me smile and laugh! We’re actually not developers, but we play them on TV.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

You really are on TV? I will love to watch video clips if you can share.

You did not mention about amazon wish list. It will be nice if it can be tucked

somewhere in the profile pages of developers unless that is strictly against any policy or design.

    Thanks again and Cheers !

    Well, no! :)

I was simply joking with my statement, as in “I’m not a real doctor but I play one on TV.”

I’m not aware of any policy that forbids this. Actually, you will find that some devs do have donation links on their websites. If there is a developer in particular to whom you would like to make a donation, just visit their website and see if they have a link.

Yes, I do in-fact wear a cape to work.

    Thanks for the recognition. :D
