Ability to hide comments and content until a user has posted

I’m new to BuddyPress and right now I’m just trying to figure out if it will work for my purposes. Mainly, I need to be able to hide things based on whether a user has commented on a particular thread/post. So, for example, until the user comments on Post 1, they won’t be able to see any other users’ comments for Post 1 and won’t be able to see Post 2. Once he has commented, he can see/respond to everyone elses comments, and can go ahead and read Post 2. How difficult would this sort of this be using BuddyPress? It looks like a decent choice so far, but I just want to get some extra feedback.
