Activating Buddypress on MAMP leaves admin blank

    Hi guys,

    I’ve got a new instance of MAMP running on my Mac with a brand new WP install, all plugins deactivated. I install Buddypress through the backend and when I hit Activate, the Admin area of WP goes blank expect for the left menu. So I end up having to go back and manually remove the Buddypress plugin.

    My PHP error log reads:

    #0 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(298): BP_XProfile_Component->setup_admin_bar('')
    #1 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(323): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array)
    #2 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array)
    #3 /MAMP-WP/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-dependency.php(143): do_action('bp_setup_admin_...')
    #4 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(298): bp_setup_admin_bar(Object(WP_Admin_Bar))
    #5 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(323): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array)
    #6 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/plugin.php(515): WP_Hook->do_action(Array)
    #7 /MAMP-WP/wp-includes/admin-ba in /MAMP-WP/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-xprofile/classes/class-bp-xprofile-component.php on line 324

    I’m at a total loss. Mod_rewrite is on as well as Pretty Permalinks. Any ideas what could be happening here?
