I’ve been searching and can’t find a reliable way to use activity comments for forum topics. Can someone point me in the right direction or tell me how to do it. Thanks.

The BP Group Forum Extras plugin enabled the ability to have activity replies to comments in forum topics show up. It’s not officially supported any more but I use it because it’s the only way I can respond to forum topics in a threaded fashion (I’m the instructor in an online class and need to be able to respond in that fashion, not just at the bottom). I think it’s going to be integrated with bbpress at some point, it does the job for now

Does that work with your 1.5 site? I activated the sub plugin for it and it didn’t change anything for me. We’re talking about Topics for Forums right? It actually turns the topic stream into an activity feed for you?

How nice would it be if someone could start a topic that looked just like a status update from facebook whether it be about a video/picture/topics and then people could just comment on it the same way people comment in a group on buddypress. Then you could show a list of the trending (last commented) topics in a widget and it’s perfect.
