    Hi there,

    I recently asked about a way for users to add media to the activity page.

    I got this answer:

    “Allowing users to post media to the activity stream, rather than just text, is going to require an additional plugin. Although I don’t use it, this will do the trick: https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/”

    Its a pity we cannot use buddypress to add media?
    As this plugin you suggested is $49 a month as you need membership

    Please help are there other alternative plugins that you dont need to pay monthly for?

    on WPMU DEV for support says have to pay per month like $49 membership

    AFAIK BuddyPress Activity Plus works, free, as outlined on the WordPress.org plugin page.

    You could also try MediaPress by a very reputable BuddyPress developer.

    or

    rtMedia

    The last one has some paid – for add-ons.

    There may well be others.
