Activity page has to be refreshed when changing tabs

Wordpress 3.0, Directory root install, Buddypress 1.2.5
Customised Buddypress social theme

My problem is on the activity page. When clicking on a new tab, such as ‘my friends’ or ‘my groups’, no content displays until the page is refreshed. How can I work around this?

You’ve probably got a javascript error of some type. Does it work on the default theme?

Hi Paul. Yes I’ve just checked the default theme and it works fine there. Any ideas about how I can get the theme working? Thanks.

I’m guessing there’s a javascript conflict.

Check your browser’s error console to see if any JS errors pop up.

@r-a-y it doesn’t seem to be showing up any JS errors in IE. I will download the error console for firefox and see if that shows anything.

Ok, it doesn’t see to be javascript the only error I get in FF is:

Warning: Expected identifier or string for value in attribute selector but found ‘-1’.
Source File: http://www.xxxxxx.com/activity/
Line: 0

But it also seems to actually work in FF.

So the issue seems to be with IE. My original problem related to IE7. And in IE8 changing tab makes the content load so far to the right as to be out of sight – until the page is refreshed.

Why is IE behaving like this and how can I stop it?
