Activity Wall Time Setting

    Hi there,

    Obviously my Activity Wall is working in another timezone then the rest of my WP Site.
    The time on my wall semms to be 2hrs ahead. Which means recent forum post activity shows up as postet “anytimes”. In my Settings (WP) I chose “Berlin” as Timezone, which is correct. Switching to UTC+2 or so is not an option. So why is my BP running at another time and how can I fix it?

    It’s probably the server that your WordPress is running on which is causing this problem. The time on the server is probably 2 hours ahead. Just a guess though.

    Great Scott!

    These time issues crop up every blue moon, so any insight you can provide into the following time settings would be awesome:

    • Your physical timezone
    • The timezone setting of your server(s)
    • The timezone setting of your PHP configuration
    • The timezone setting of your WordPress installation

    Seems somewhere down the line, there’s a problem with our calculations in a certain configuration. It could be the math, could be daylight savings time, could be a WordPress bug, a BuddyPress bug, or a rip in the space-time continuum!

    Okay:
    From phpinfo() : default Timezone Europe/Berlin
    My Physical: Europe/Berlin
    WP Installation Setting:Europe/Berlin

    had taht issue before on BP but my actual Forum does not allow the manual UTC+x settings and I guess it is also not intended 🙂
