Add another edit screen under group admin settings

I am creating a page which lists a custom post type “events” for the group you’re in, under the admin section (which I’ve successfully set up using the group extension class). The page lists all the events, but what I want is to add a link to edit each one on a separate page, whilst still maintaining the appearance of being in the group, and the url to be something like:
    site/group/group-name/events/edit-event?1243423

How do I get this to work – do I need to register the edit page as a new subnav item so the url works? Is this even possible? I tried to find an similar example – I note that to promote/ban group members the urls work something like that.

    Tricky one.

Does it have to be on a separate page?
Have you tried using jQuery to reveal a hidden div that shows the cpt fields and populates it with the selected event ?

What screen are you using to create the custom post type “events” ?
