Add dynamic link to User Profile based on page existence

Hello,
I’m trying to add a dynamic link to each user’s BP profile that will link other users to their artwork URL e.g. “My art” – “http://homepage/artists/username”.
I was able to somehow add it under the profile by looking at the instruction here:
http://buddypress.org/support/topic/specific-dynamic-link-from-username/The catch is I only want it to show on profiles that already have submission (they will have their personal art page “http://homepage/artists/username”).
is there an easy way to do this?
