I think that it will pollute the sitewide activities.
So i think that Andy has to write a configuration settings of activities for each user..
Well, I would limit the amount that is allowed to be shown on the widget, say 10 updates…which wouldn’t be too hectic, I think.
Sounds kind of complicated, since I know very little php.

You could always use the RSS widget, and bring in the RSS feed for the forums. Would be a simple solution.

The forum activity IS showing in Site Wide Activity. At least it does for me. 
You don’t want to use the RSS widget, because those links take you right to your bbPress install instead of to the forum of your group page.
