Adding a Title to a User Name

Is there a simple way to display a title along with a user’s name when using Buddypress?

Administrator, Moderator, Group Leader, Author, Contributor, etc.

I found the plugin User-Title which looks like it may work. Trying to figure out where to put the code <?php echo get_the_author_meta(‘user_title’) ?> is a bit confusing and I’m not having any luck.

Any suggestions?

I’m not aware of a plugin but try looking into user meta. It’s a way of storing information for each user. You could store the user’s title in this way. Helpful articles will be:

There was an interesting article on wpmudev.org that shows how to add the profile fields and a few other tricks. The hardest part was determining the exact location for the data.
